Insurance Payment Auditor (“we”, “us”) helps clinics reconcile electronic insurance remittances against bank deposits. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the role Plaid plays when you connect a bank.
Information we process
- Account information — your email and name, for authentication and to identify you within your workspace.
- Insurance remittance data — the payment-report rows you upload, stored in your account and used only for reconciliation and audit display.
- Bank transaction data — when you connect a bank via Plaid, Plaid retrieves a limited set of your recent transactions and sends them to us so we can match them against your insurance remittances. We do not receive or store your bank login credentials; Plaid authenticates you directly and hands us the transaction records.
How we use your data
- To match insurance payments against bank deposits and surface discrepancies.
- To display audit results and flagged items within your own account.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising.
Bank connections & Plaid
Bank linking is powered by Plaid. Plaid's access to your accounts is governed by Plaid's terms and privacy policy, and you control the connection through Plaid and your bank at any time. We receive only the transaction records Plaid returns to us.
Data retention & security
- Your uploaded and imported data stays in your account until you delete it or close your account.
- Bank access tokens granted by Plaid are stored server-side and scoped to your account only — they are never exposed in your browser or sent to other users.
- Data in transit is protected with HTTPS.
Your choices
- Disconnect a bank by revoking the Plaid connection from within your app or directly through your bank.
- Delete imported rows and flagged items from your workspace at any time.
- Contact us to request deletion of your account data.
